Domaine Kohll-Leuck

About us

Domaine Viticole Kohll-Leuck is a historic family winery in the picturesque village of Ehnen on the Luxembourg Moselle with roots dating back to the early 20th century. The estate was founded by the KOHLL-THESEN family, and first commercial wines were sold in the 1950s by Gust Kohll-Linden. In the early 1970s, Raymond and Marie-Cécile Kohll-Leuck took over and expanded the vineyard significantly. Today the winery is run by the fourth generation, led by Luc Kohll and his brother-in-law Claude Scheuren.
Kohll-Leuck

Kohll-Leuck has been at the forefront of quality winemaking in Luxembourg, producing its first Crémant de Luxembourg “Cuvée GUST KOHLL” in 1992 and achieving key milestones such as the first ice wine harvest in 1999. Through modernized facilities and a commitment to high standards the estate was among the earliest members of the Charta Privatwënzer quality charter in 2007. Milestones include awards in the Guide Hachette and continuous improvement of vineyards, cellar and tasting facilities.

The vineyards surrounding Ehnen benefit from limestone soils, and the estate practices careful viticulture to grow noble grape varieties. Vineyards like Ehnerberg, Kelterberg, Rosemen and Wousselt produce wines with distinct minerality and aromatic complexity. The winemaking process uses modern temperature-controlled fermentation and, for red wines, extended ageing in oak barrels.
