Domaine Krier-Welbes

About us

Domaine Krier-Welbes was founded in 1957 by Fernande and François Krier-Welbes. Their son, Guy Krier, took over the estate on July 14, 1993 and has since expanded it significantly: from an initial 3.5 hectares to nearly 15 hectares today. The entire vineyard has been managed according to the principles of organic agriculture since late 2009, and the estate is certified LU-BIO-05.

The estate’s vineyards are situated in the municipalities of Stadtbredimus and Schengen and include well-known sites such as Remerschen Hiischeberg, Remerschen Kräizberg, Bech-Kleinmacher Falkenberg, Bech-Kleinmacher Héiberg, Bech-Kleinmacher Naumberg, Wellenstein Foulschette, Wellenstein Kurschels and Stadtbredimus Rouseberg.

By combining organic vineyard management with careful cellar work, the estate produces elegant, fruit-driven wines that clearly express their terroir. Many customers also note the wines’ good digestibility and excellent aging potential.

Visitors are welcome by appointment. Gaby and Guy Krier-Ruppert look forward to presenting the estate’s wines in a relaxed tasting.
