About us
Pundel Vins Purs traces 13 generations of winemaking tradition and is now led by Pit Pundel. Perched above Wormeldange-Haut, the estate spans just over 8 hectares of sustainably managed vineyards, with grapes crafted in a modern cellar inaugurated in 2014. From the terrace and large tasting hall, visitors enjoy breathtaking views over the Moselle.
The estate emphasizes letting the terroir speak. Grapes are carefully tended in the vineyard and harvested with precision to ensure perfect health. In the cellar, no industrial additives are used: fermentation relies solely on natural yeasts, and oak aging is limited to two large 1,200-liter barrels for Pinot Blanc and the Riesling from the historic Peteschwengert vineyard.
A standout is the Peteschwengert parcel, planted in 1900, before the phylloxera outbreak. Arranged in seven terraces and supported by dry-stone walls, this ancient site produces wines with intense character and pronounced mineral expression.
