Domaine Schlink

About us

Domaine Viticole Schlink is a family run winery located in Machtum on the Luxembourg Moselle, just a few kilometers from Grevenmacher. Founded in 1911, the estate has grown steadily over generations through the expansion of its vineyards, the construction of modern cellar facilities and the continuous improvement of winemaking techniques.

Sustainability lies at the heart of the estate’s philosophy. Domaine Schlink follows a holistic approach to sustainable viticulture, constantly optimizing practices in the vineyard, cellar management and commercialization to ensure long term environmental balance.

In the vineyards, the use of pesticides and organic fertilizers is deliberately kept to an absolute minimum, guided by the principle of using as little as possible and only as much as necessary. Winter pruning is carried out with a single cane, mechanical weed control begins in early spring and soil aeration is improved through targeted cultivation. During summer, weeds are managed mechanically and early leaf removal helps naturally reduce yields while improving grape quality. A tall and healthy leaf canopy supports optimal photosynthesis during the growing season.

Harvesting is carried out entirely by hand, ensuring careful selection of the grapes. Gentle pressing techniques are used to extract the juice, followed by slow fermentation at controlled temperatures between 16 and 18 degrees Celsius, allowing aromas and structure to develop gradually.

During winter, the wines mature either in stainless steel tanks or oak barrels, depending on style, before being bottled at the beginning of the following year. The result is a range of wines that combine precision, freshness and respect for the Moselle terroir.
