About us
Maison Viticole Schmit-Fohl traces seven generations of winemaking in Ahn, one of the most picturesque villages along the Luxembourg Moselle. Since 2021, Nicolas and Mathieu have been running the estate with passion, adding their own signature to the legacy built by their ancestors.
With the shift to organic viticulture since the 2020 vintage, they protect the environment and soil health while letting the terroir shine authentically in every wine. The vineyards are carefully tended using organic fertilizers, hand harvesting, and minimal intervention in the cellar—creating wines with character, authenticity, and aging potential.
Rooted in history yet forward-looking, Schmit-Fohl embraces innovation: introducing new grape varieties like Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, aging in barriques, producing a natural wine (“Tout-nü”), and developing new premium lines. Tradition and innovation come together naturally to express the true essence of the Luxembourg Moselle.
