Founded in 1855, Domaine Stronck Pinnel is a historic family winery based in Greiveldange, with 95 percent of its 7.5 hectares located around the village. Today the estate is run by Jean Pierre Stronck, known as Jemp, a fifth generation winemaker, together with his wife Octavie Modert.
While cultivating the classic grape varieties of the Luxembourg Moselle such as Riesling, Auxerrois, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir, Jemp is known for his curiosity and willingness to experiment. One notable example is his barrel aged Rivaner, reflecting a desire to surprise while staying true to terroir.
Riesling has been the family’s flagship variety for generations. Vines in the Déifert vineyard, a fully south facing slope, produce ripe and expressive wines, while the clay limestone soils of Hëtt yield Rieslings with pronounced minerality.
Crémant has a long tradition at the estate. Production began in 1988, initially by hand, and only two years later Jemp became the first independent winemaker in Luxembourg to invest in a disgorging machine. Today the range includes several single variety Crémants and the emblematic Cuvée Saints Pierre et Paul.
The historic vaulted cellar dating back to 1855 houses barrels of Pinot Noir red, carefully aged until the winemaker considers them ready. Low yields, strict selection and integrated viticulture result in dry, mineral and expressive wines that reflect both tradition and a spirit of exploration.
