Along the winding curves of the Luxembourg Moselle, vineyard slopes have carried fertile soils cultivated by man for centuries. Downstream from Stadtbredimus, on the Wine Route at the site known as Hëttermillen, stand the cellars of CEP D’OR, a wine estate covering approximately fifteen hectares of vineyards.
The Vesque family, owners of the estate, has been active in Luxembourg viticulture since 1762. Today, vineyards managed by their descendants extend across the renowned slopes of Stadtbredimus. Jean Marie Vesque, the estate’s oenologist, has served as managing director since 2001.
The cellar, built in 1995, is distinguished by its striking concrete architecture and funnel shaped tower. A set of stainless steel tanks with a total capacity of 2 500 hectolitres allows for controlled vinification and careful storage of wines, protected from oxidation and impurities.
The estate’s main appellations include Stadtbredimus Fels, Stadtbredimus Primerberg, Stadtbredimus Dieffert and Stadtbredimus Goldberg. The terroirs, located within the canton of Remich, lie at the junction of two Triassic soil formations: calcareous marl and stony clay limestone soils, shaping the structure and identity of the wines.
