Shades of Gris is a Pinot Gris of character, depth and texture, not a light everyday wine but one built on substance and structure rather than loud aromas. Made entirely from Pinot Gris and aged in a large 1,250-liter oak cask, it absorbs fewer woody notes, keeping its fruit clarity while gaining harmony and calm maturity. Regular bâtonnage stirs the lees, adding richness, creaminess and complexity. The result is a full-bodied yet balanced wine with a warm, elegant presence and lasting finish. Shades of Gris shows that Pinot Gris can be serious and layered while remaining approachable and refined – a wine of style, craftsmanship and personality.
