The 2023 Chardonnay from Domaine Fränk Kayl in Remerschen Kreitzberg is crafted with precision and a focus on freshness. Mostly aged in stainless steel, it retains purity of fruit and structure while avoiding oxidation. A subtle touch of oak adds gentle depth and smoothness without dominating the style. About ten months of lees aging bring texture, body and a hint of creaminess without sweetness. The result is a clear, elegant and balanced Chardonnay. Introduced to Luxembourg in the 1980s, the grape has since proven its adaptability, working both as a refined still wine and as an essential component in Crémant, expressing terroir through clarity and finesse.
