Guy speaks with deep connection about his Pinot Noir from the Fouleschette vineyard near Wellenstein. The vines grow on grey clay keuper soil that retains water and gives Pinot power without heaviness. Planted around 2005, the vineyard is now at its ideal age, combining depth with vitality. The 2022 vintage matured for nine months in barrique, providing structure without dominating the fruit. In the glass, cherry fruit, subtle spice and fine oak are beautifully integrated. The wine is approachable early, balanced and expressive, with finesse and moderate alcohol. Guy pairs it with hearty but not heavy dishes, especially grilled foods or slightly chilled on warm days. In his view, Pinot Noir Fouleschette represents honest craftsmanship, elegance and a true sense of place – a red of clarity, charm and lasting depth.
